Choosing between two used cars usually means two different registrations, two MOT files, and two sets of questions for sellers. Car Buyer Check works per plate. Run a registration check on each vehicle and review the free preview and buyer report for each one separately.
What you can do now
Enter the first registration in the form above, then repeat with the second plate in a new lookup. Each run produces its own report ID, MOT snapshot, buyer position, and marked-area counts. You can note which file shows more look-outs, more fail history, or a quieter timeline — using facts from each preview rather than memory from an advert.
- Compare latest recorded mileage and pass/fail counts from each preview snapshot.
- See whether one car triggers more pattern work (repeats, fail-then-pass, mileage decrease) before opening the full buyer report on either plate.
- Keep seller questions and viewing tasks per report when you open the buyer report for a finalist.
What we do not do when comparing
There is no head-to-head score, winner badge, or reliability ranking between plates. We do not pick the “better car” for you. Finance, stolen, and write-off checks are out of scope. Comparison is your judgment after reading each file.
If both cars look similar on paper, the viewing still decides — MOT history only shows what was recorded on past tests.
